11w5d- SWIMMING MAKES ME TIRED!

Mommy and Daddy played in the pool with me again today!  I had a lot of fun and love the water!  I played soooo hard that I wore myself out!  Mommy always gives me a bath after I get out of the pool...this time, I took a shower with her.  Daddy had to bring us a towel, so Mommy sat down in the tub and used the removable shower head of water on me to keep me warm....I was soooo comfortable that I fell asleep in the shower!  4 hours later, I was ready to have a bottle and play again!

11w4d-MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Spending the holiday playing at home!  Grandma Dason is coming to visit next week!  YAY!

11w3d- DADDY DRESSED ME!

Daddy dressed me and it matches!  My shirt says That's It I'm Calling Grandma!......(By the way, Nevaeh watched the baby reading video again all the way through this morning......so it wasn't a fluke that it caught her attention yesterday. YAY!)

11w2d- WATCH THIS

Remember when we said that Courtney and Mike purchased Your Baby Can Read .....way back when???  Well it finally arrived today!  Courtney put the first video in and put Nevaeh in front of the big TV in her bouncy seat.  She watched the whole thing and didn't seem to be done watching when the video ended about 1/2 hour later, so Courtney put it back on.  Nevaeh watched it twice in a row!!!!  Here's a picture of her first experience with the program.....stay tuned with updates!

11w1d-FUNNY DREAMS?

Nevaeh laughed out loud for the first time, but she was sound asleep!  Wander what she was dreaming about!?....Does that count as her first laugh recorded in a baby book?  Pictured above is Nevaeh out shopping with Mommy and Daddy!

Uncle Joey's family got this cute OSU outfit for Nevaeh!  Now we just need a bow in her hair so everyone knows she is a girl!

2 1/2 MONTHS-BATH TIME

 

I love SKYPE.....I got to watch bath time!  Nevaeh loves the water!!!!! After bath time, I watched Nevaeh take her nighttime bottle and soothe herself to sleep in the boppy with her pacifier.  Courtney and I watched Greys Anatomy on TV (while SKYPING)......Neither of us talked, because we were glued to the TV screen.....Courtney said that SKYPING made her feel like she was home watching TV with me!  We had a wonderful evening!

2 1/2 MONTHS- SUMMER SHOES!

A girl can't have toooo many shoes!  Aren't these summer shoes (size 1) adorable????  Now let's hope they fit when I visit the kids in June!

10w2d- PLAY TIME

Nevaeh is starting to reach for the toys! She is reaching with her left hand, but not sure if it's because she can't figure out how to move her right arm which seems to be tucked between her and the blanket propping her up in the seat....She can sit for a few minutes before tilting to one side or sliding down.....then she gets MAD!  LOL

10w1d- MOMMY AND BABY

10 WEEKS OLD ALREADY!

Nevaeh is 10 weeks old today!  Wow.....I remember posting when Mommy was 10 weeks pregnant with her!  Time flies!!!  Today, I watched Nevaeh (via Skype) play on her Playtime Mat....she is finally grabbing at the toys.....as she grabs, her legs are moving a mile a minute.....toooo cute!

9w4d- 10 HOURS!

Yes, you read that title correctly!  Our sweet little princess had a bottle at 8pm, went to sleep around 10pm and slept until 6:00am.  Got up for a bottle and only wanted 2 oz. and went back sleep until 9 in her own crib!!!   That's a total of 10 hours between nighttime bottles (Woot!!!)... and Mommy and Daddy are now sleeping in their own room...... Now that's HUGE progress!  She is drinking 6 oz. bottles and burps easier now!  In fact, she knows her bottle....her eyes get real big and she opens her mouth just waiting!!!  Toooo cute!

Here's a picture of Nevaeh's bear that Daddy won for her at her first Fair.  (Maybe that's why she slept sooooo good last night....Mommy and Daddy wore her out during the Fair!)

These pictures were taken outside and the sun was toooo bright!  Nevaeh had a hard time opening her eyes.....but we still got some CUTE pictures of her! 

9 WEEKS OLD!!

Tummy Time!

For the last couple of weeks, Nevaeh has had a fussy period every evening!  She has whimpers and cries....at least it is not an all out scream fest.....but it is trying on the nerves.  Mommy tries everything to soothe her.  I don't think it is colic.....I think she knows the routine and fights sleep before bedtime.  But once she is asleep....she sleeps for very long stretches at night.  On average 6 hours with some 8 hours here and there.....all in all pretty much through the night and in her own crib!  :-)

8w5d- HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day, Courtney!  I hope you know that I think (I know) you are a wonderful Mother!  I am sooooo very proud of your accomplishments as a daughter, sister, soon to be college graduate, wife and now a new MOM.  You make it look sooooo easy.....when I know it is a balancing act and sometimes flat out survival mode to get through the day.  Nevaeh has a good role model to look up to in the years to come! I love you!

8w4d- BIG SMILE

8w4d- COOING WITH EXPRESSION!

Today Mommy noticed that Nevaeh cooed with expression.....she would change the pitch of her coos while she entertained herself on the floor for a good 20 minutes today!  Since she is starting to take notice of the world around her, we are going to start her on "Your Baby Can Read" DVDs rather than just plopping her in front of a TV program with no educational value.  I'll post the progress along the way through videos!  Mommy has also noticed that she is drooling a lot these days!  BIB time!

Look at these cute shoes!   This was the first pair purchased for her before she was born!  They are a size 0.  We need to find her a cute pair of sandals for this summer! 

8w3d- 2 MONTH CHECKUP!

 Nevaeh had her first set of shots today and did quite well.  She only cried for about 5 seconds....but Daddy said Nevaeh looked around for Mommy while she cried....she wanted nothing to do with the person holding her....but then was fine! When Mommy had her first shots, I remember how she cried for what seemed like an eternity!  Poor baby!  She was completely MAD at the world for the rest of the day!  LOL

Nevaeh weighs 10lbs. 13oz. and is 22 inches long!  The doctor said she is within normal range for her length, weight and head size! Mommy was 9lbs. 13oz. and 22 inches long at this age.....but we need to keep in mind that Nevaeh's gestational age is about 1 month behind her Mommy when it comes to growth patterns......since Nevaeh was born 3 weeks early and Mommy was born 2 weeks past her due date! 

Here's little miss getting ready for the doctor's visit!  The shorts she has on are a newborn size.  She will be able to wear these all summer....they are even rolled at the waist!

 Here's my favorite onsie...."That's It, I'm Calling Grandma!"  Do you think it was coincidence since she cried at the doctor's today!  ;-)

8w2d- CRIB UPDATE!

Our sweet little princess slept 8 LONG hours in her crib last night!  Yes you heard me right!  8 hours in her own crib!........Now ask me where Mommy and Daddy are sleeping.......you guessed it......still in Nevaeh's room! LOL.......Courtney's plan is to TRY and make the transition back to their own bedroom with a baby monitor  this weekend.  Wait.....I think that is just one day away.....we'll see!

Mommy also shared that Nevaeh had her first taste of banana baby food.  To make a long story short, Courtney needed bananas in her pregnancy diet but couldn't stomach the texture....It made her nauseous!  So the next best thing was banana baby food.  Fast forward to today.....Courtney found a baby jar of bananas and decided to eat it before it went bad.....no need to waste food, right!?  And to top that off, no harm in sharing!  Nevaeh's eyes got REAL big with her first taste.....she tongued it and tried her hardest to figure out what to do with the little bit Mommy gave her.  Toooo cute!  I wish Courtney would have video taped it for me to share with all of you.  Maybe next time!

8 WEEKS OLD TODAY!

Nevaeh is 8 weeks old today.  She has her 2 month check up on Friday!  Poor thing will have to have her first set of shots.  I am looking forward to see how she has grown and how much she weighs.

Mommy says Nevaeh likes to "stand" and use her leg muscles now.  She is cooing alot and very alert.  We still only get slight smiles out of her....looking forward to that big grin and belly laugh one day!

Right now I am sitting here at home posting this while watching her on SKYPE.  I feel like I am in the same room with her!  Life is good! Here's her 8 week picture!

Nevaeh will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday.  She is wearing size 0-3 months and some newborn sizes depending on the name brand of clothing.  This sundress is a newborn size!  Look at those cute little toes!
