16.5 MONTHS- SPENDING THE NIGHT

16.5 MONTHS- A DAY AT THE PARK!

Jordyn and Nevaeh had fun at the park.  The little boy in the blue shorts befriended Nevaeh and walked her around the park.  It was soooo cute!

16.5 PUT THAT TONGUE BACK IN YOUR MOUTH!

Just look at this little cutie!  Lately I've noticed that her hair is getting thicker!  And it still waves or curls in the back.... yet straight as can be around her face!  Tooooo cute!

16.5 MONTHS- WATCHING TV

Nevaeh grabbed her blankie and plopped herself on the floor in front
of the TV....

16 .5 MONTHS- SLEEPS ANY WHERE!

Nevaeh grabbed her blankie and paci ... climbed up on the couch and
went to sleep on her own! Such a big girl!..... Later in the day,
Nevaeh was playing on the floor....I got up and went into the kitchen
and Great Grandma Richards got up at the same time and left towards
the garage.....Nevaeh noticed and shot straight up and ran towards us
yelling " WAIT,WAIT,WAIT"....she thought we were leaving her behind!
Silly little girl :-)

16.5 MONTHS-LOVES ICE CREAM AND AUNT CAITLIN!

Look how she was holding the ice cream cone....she didn't want to get it all over herself and took little licks!

16 1/2 MONTHS- SUCH A BIG GIRL!

Nevaeh is such an independent little girl!  and.....talking up a storm!  Here are some of her latest conversations with us....

1. (Calling for daddy...) Michael, Mikey....um hey....Daddy!

2.  (She fell on Mommy's belly & Mommy pretended to cry....)  You cry?  Oh no cry and wiped her eyes!

3. Counts....with Mommy....Mommy starts and Nevaeh fills in with all the even numbers....1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

4.  (Talking to me on the phone....) Nevaeh said "hello, what you doin?", I said, "Did she just say that?"  Nevaeh answered me with" Yes I did!'....she put the phone down, picked it back up and said "I'm back!"  I said, "You're so smart",  Nevaeh replied, "You're right!",  I asked her what she was doing, and she said, "I don no", then she yells for her dog "PACO, PACO, come here".---quite the little conversationalist!

5. Daddy told me she was in her carseat singing, "Rain, Rain Go Away....over and over"  Daddy said, "It's not raining", she replied...."I know!"

6. Today, she heard the thunder outside and started singing "Rain, Rain, Go Away" with a smile and then said "Go outside to touch rain?"  We did, and she giggled as the raindrops hit her arm!

7.  Today, she said (holding her dolly), "shhhh, baby sleeping" with her finger to her mouth!

16 MONTHS- RECORD BREAKING HEAT!

RECORD BREAKING HEAT THIS WEEK!

Temperatures in the lower to mid 90s combined with dewpoints in
the middle 70s will produce heat index values between 100 and 104
degrees on Wednesday. This prolonged period of dangerously high
heat and humidity will pose a significant risk of heat illness.
Nighttime heat indices will fall to the middle to upper 70s with
the warmest readings in urban areas.

Oppressive heat and humidity will continue to persist through
Thursday evening with temperatures pushing close to 100 degrees.
Combined with high humidity levels... afternoon heat index values
between 105 and 110 degrees are likely Wednesday... while heat
index values between 105 and 120 degrees are likely throughout
much of the day Thursday. Nighttime heat indices will fall to the
lower 80s with the warmest readings in urban areas. This prolonged
period of dangerously high heat and humidity will pose a
significant risk of heat illness.

16 MONTHS - TIRED!

16 MONTHS- GRANDMA'S LITTLE HELPER!

GUESS WHO IS 16 MONTHS OLD!

New happenings at 16 months.....walking really fast and talking up a storm! Now Nevaeh is singing! The other day, we were singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star....we stopped near the end of the song and Nevaeh continued singing "up above the world so high" but stopped when we didn't chime back in. Yesterday, Aunt Caitlin was singing the ABCs and at the end, Nevaeh sang "XYZ, Now I know my ABCs"....and clapped for herself! One more thing to share.... Aunt Caitlin asked if Nevaeh was hungry.... She said "French fries, McDonalds?".... ummmm....I think we frequent this restaurant a bit tooooo much! LOL

ALMOST 16 MONTHS- "READING"

Nevaeh loves to read this book.  She will open the pages, point to the animals and say their name and the sound they make.  (duck-quack, quack, dog-woof,woof, cat-mou instead of meow, lamb- baa baa, ).  We have a video of her on the iPad app that shows pictures and says the name.  She will repeat almost every picture presented.  This app will keep her interest for about 3 minutes....and 50 pictures later, which is quite a long time for a 15 1/2 month old!  I tried uploading it, with no success :-(

ALMOST 16 MONTHS -JULY 4th, 2011

Nevaeh went to the fire works with Mommy, Daddy, Alexis and Jordyn....she liked them and kept saying BOOM....with a smile on her face. I went to pick her up after the light show....she was soooooo tired....when she saw the car, she kept repeating. "car, carseat, sit".... Aunt Caitlin changed her into her jammies and put her in the carseat....she put her paci in her mouth, grabbed her blankie and she was out like a light!

ALMOST 16 MONTHS!

Nevaeh sucked on a freezer pop and said yum each time she sucked on it. She smacked her lips together and then leaned in for another bite or to kiss Mommy and say than you!  Tooo sweet! Once Mommy told her to sit down for another bite....Nevaeh said "I sit down" and she sat down on the floor.....ready for another bite.

15.5 MONTHS- BATHROOM BUSINESS!

Nevaeh was playing with her dolly, but stopped and grabbed her own behind and said, "Uh oh, poop".....She needed a diaper change! She is understanding how her body works....it won't be long and we will be potty training!
