While Nevaeh was visiting at Grandma Barnett's house, she found this register in the floor....She proceeded to tell Mommy the shapes she saw (unprompted).....She said....circle, triangle, circle, triangle, circle, triangle..... :-)

SWEARING IN!

Daddy was sworn in at a neighboring county on their police force. Nevaeh was excited and got to watch her Daddy sign the official form. He also meets with the Mayor and Chief of Police on Thursday in the town that they live in for possible next steps of swearing in there also. Both positions are auxiliary at this time, with possible paid positions down the road.....The job market is VERY tight right now.......but at least Daddy is now in a possible pool to draw from for a paid position based on his volunteer job performance! BEST OF LUCK, DADDY.....We are all rooting for you!

MOTHER'S DAY 2012

2YRS. - SPANISH!

Today Little Miss Nevaeh surprised Mommy. They were leaving Walmart.....the conversation went something like this: N- Vamonos, Mommy! M- What did you say? N- Vamonos! M- What does that mean? N- It means Let's go on Dora the Explorer! As always, her vocabulary, meaning of words and correct grammar continues to amaze us! The only thing that I continue to worry about is color discrination....she still can't do it. With her Great Grandma on her Mommy's side of the family and her Daddy being color blind, my suspicions are high that she may be as well. Another concern that has started to develop in the last few months is the way she says her "s" sounds. She tends to put her tongue forward between her teeth, with an sh or th sound. I know that is developmentally appropriate at this stage, but it seems odd that it is a new problem, rather than one she started out with.....oh well....time will tell! ONE THING THAT WE KNOW OF FOR SURE....SHE IS A SMART LITTLE ONE!

2YRS - STAIRS

YIKES..... I took my eyes off of Nevaeh for about one minute to answer the phone and this is what I found.....When I asked her what she was doing she said, " It's Ok grandma, I hold the rail to go downstairs!". ....Like it was no big deal!

Courtney posted this on facebook today.....Sooo my 2 year old daughter is sitting out here helping me at the garage sale and she put a sticker on my shirt and told me that she was gonna sell me and when her grandma told her if she sells me she will have to buy another mommy and she said that's ok she's broken LOL.....but then she wouldn't sell me when someone tried to buy me!
