15.5 MONTHS- MANNERS

Nevaeh is such a sweet little girl with manners....unprompted she will say thank you, bless you, please and yesterday after a blessing at Aunt Caitlin's bridal shower, she followed everyone by saying "Amen"!

15 1/2 MONTHS-FULL SENTENCE

Nevaeh was out to eat with Mommy and Daddy. She had a pancake...Mommy cut up part of one, but little miss independent decided she wanted the uncut piece.... She said "I want a bite!" ...She picked up the big piece and broke off her own pieces and fed herself!

15 1/2 MONTHS- BABY PARTS

I want to remember these cute little hands and feet!  I sing "This little piggy went to market...." with Nevaeh's toes and when I get to her baby toe, I say " and this little piggy went....." and Nevaeh says" WeeWeeWee"  and I finish the song with "all the way home"  and she just smiles and giggles and waits for me to sing it again!  Toooooo cute!

Nevaeh loves to play with the door. Opening and closing it over and over again.....By the way, she learned her first bad word from Grandpa Baker. The dog knocked over a cup with her tail and Grandpa said "Oh Sh__!" and before he could correct himself, Nevaeh was saying it! OOOPS!

15 MONTHS- A DAY AT THE BEACH!

15 MONTHS OLD TODAY!

Dear Nevaeh,

You are 15 months old already!!! Still 20 lbs....small but mighty! You have absolutely amazed us all these past several weeks. You are walking really fast....almost running! Your vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds from multi-syllable words to 3 and 4 words in a sentence! You even throw fits with words mixed in with cries! I think the two biggest changes are... giving up your night bottle on your own (sometimes even the morning bottle) and...you are starting to show an interest in potty training by saying pee pee and poopy....You even want to sit on the big potty and try....no success yet, but I have a feeling it is not far off in the future!

I am looking forward to what next month brings!

P.S. I wrote this post on my new iPad2. Feels pretty strange not sitting in front of a laptop to blog! I wonder what type of blogging you will do and what type of technology you will use! Which reminds me...You already know how to turn on the iPad,and play a picture /word app that starts with a picture of an apple....you even say "apple" when looking for the game!

Almost 15 MONTHS- NO BOTTLE?

A couple of days ago, Mommy wanted me to blog about you throwing a fit and refusing your nighttime bottle.  You kept pointing to the sippy cup of milk and not your bottle.  Mommy gave you the sippy cup....you drank it all and went to sleep!  I thought it was a fluke because you LOVE your bottle at night and in the mornings. Well to make a long story short....several days past with a similiar routine.  You spent the night with us and I asked you "Do you want your bottle or sippy cup of milk?"  You looked at both and said, "cup".  I gave you the sippy cup and you took your pacifier out and drank a little...sucked on your paci a little more and cuddled with your blankie.... then asked for the sippy cup again.....This cycle repeated itself until the milk in the sippy cup was gone....I put you to bed and you went to sleep! In the morning, I gave you a sippy cup of milk and you were happy!  NO MORE BOTTLE.....YOU BROKE YOURSELF!

Almost 15 MONTHS-MELT DOWN WITH WORDS

Nevaeh's baby cousin was over for a visit. Rather than being jealous, Nevaeh had a melt down when they were leaving... She gave many kisses to the baby and cried with words....."No take baby, No take baby"!

Almost 15 MONTHS

Nevaeh took off Auntie Caite's wedding ring. She put it on her finger...Took it off and looked at it and said, "Kirkle (circle)" !

14.5 MONTHS- HELPING

Nevaeh helped Mommy and Daddy pick out the tile for the laundry room and mud room.  She is such a big helper!
