23.5 MONTHS-SILLY!

Uncle Andrew thought it would be funny to make Nevaeh this Mt. Dew hat!  She had fun with it!  Here's another funny.....Mommy and Nevaeh were upstairs getting PJs for the night.  Nevaeh was looking through her drawers....Mommy said, "Shut the drawer Nevaeh, right now....here's your PJs"...tossing them to her.  Nevaeh picked them up.....put her arm through the open zipper and head area, looked at Mommy and said, "Are you freakin kidding me, Mommy?"  (Yes, she is picking up all of Mommy's slang.....ooops!)

23.5 MONTHS- PRETEND PLAY

Nevaeh has such an imagination.... The other day she made pretend cupcakes with her blocks. She said "I put them in the microwave" ...she actually pretended to bake them in a microwave! The other day, Mommy heard Nevaeh crying and saying.."ooh my belly hurts", she said it several times...her cousin Abby said don't worry we are pretending to play doctor....Both the girls went to the mud room and Nevaeh got in the car seat, while Abby pretended to drive her to the doctor...Nevaeh kept pretending and playing along by saying..."oh my belly hurts, I go to the doctor"....Tooooo cute.

OH NO!

Nevaeh has the stomach bug! She has thrown up 3 times in less than an hour....poor baby! I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later..... YUCK!

This little cutie pie told me she had to go poopy!  We ran to the bathroom....She sat and tooted quite a bit....but nothing.....She seemed pretty proud of herself for tooting! LOL!

23 MONTHS!- NAP TIME!

I love to watch her when she sleeps!  .....Here's another cute thing Nevaeh said last night.....Mommy and Daddy were putting together new bunkbeds for the older kids....Nevaeh was walking on, between and around all of the pieces and parts.  Aunt Kelly said, "You need to move cutie patutie", Nevaeh looked at her and said, "I'm not cutie patutie, I am Nevaeh!"  LOL!

23 MONTHS!!!!! MORE CUTE DISCUSSIONS

Nevaeh has learned to lean her head back while getting her hair washed in the tub.  Mommy said, " Look at the ceiling"....she kept repeating this while putting water over her head....Nevaeh got tired of hearing her say the same thing over and over again and responded, " I AM, MOM!"  Notice she said Mom and not Mommy.......  :-(   Growing up wayyyyy tooooo fast!

N- Put her hands in the air and said, "What the, what the, what the.....heck!"  Thank goodness she said "heck"!  LOL

MORE HOUSE RENOVATIONS!

Nevaeh ....you are a lucky little girl.   Mommy and Daddy's home remodel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  I know you will not remember living through this, so I thought I would capture this time in pictures.  (I posted both bathrooms and your bedroom makeover in earlier posts).

RSV :-(

Poor Nevaeh is sooooo sick.  She has RSV.  At this age, she is monitored for complications while the virus runs it's course.  :-(   One thing I am impressed with.....Nevaeh has become a professional nose blower!  She uses kleenex and gives nice strong blows through her nose! A pretty good skill for her age!

22.5 M0NTHS- CUTENESS!

Today, Nevaeh walked out on the front porch with Mommy and said, "Hey, Mommy it's warm out here!".....She was right....61 degrees on February 1st!

Mommy said that Nevaeh definitely knows the difference between a diaper, a pull up, and panties.  Mommy started to change Nevaeh's diaper and the conversation went:
N- I want a Dora pull-up!
M- Go get one.
N- Went upstairs, to her bedroom, to her closet, to the exact drawer they are kept in and pulled one out.  She looked at it and said, "Nope- that's not Dora".  She put that one back and pulled out a different one.  She looked at Mommy and asked, "Just One? "
M- Yes, just one.
N- OK....then she pushed the drawer shut with her hip!  LOL!

The other day, Nevaeh ran into the room to tell Aunt Kelly that "It's smoking",  Kelly said, "What is?"
Nevaeh said, "Abby's breathing machine is smoking!"  Everyone got a little chuckle out of that one!

Here's another cute comment....Mommy broke glass in the laundry room and she yelled at Nevaeh to get out of the room (afraid that Nevaeh would step on glass)....Nevaeh ran to the door and started bawling....Mommy asked what was wrong and Nevaeh said, "You hurt my feelings!"  When Mommy told me this over the phone, Nevaeh overheard the conversation and thought Mommy was crying on the phone....She went over to Mommy and patted her back and said, "Don't cry!"

Her communication skills continue to impress us on a daily basis!
