The kids came home this weekend!!!!  YAY!!!  Here's Nevaeh tasting her first bite of sweet peas with her Auntie Caite!!!  Since Caitlin is new to feeding babies, we covered the high chair with a dish towel and took Nevaeh's clothes off......you never know where the peas might end up!  :-)

4m20d- HIGHCHAIR

Now that Nevaeh knows how to roll over, it is not so easy feeding her in the bouncy. Next big step....the highchair!  She is growing up wayyyyy tooooo fast!

Hello Miss Bright Eyes!

4m19d-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

YAY!  NEVAEH ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY!  Once she learned this new skill, she hasn't stopped!  :-)

4m17d- SPOON

Dinner time!  "Hey....Wait a minute....where's the food?!"

She ALMOST rolled over!

4m15d- SQUASH

First taste of vegetables....squash!

Mommy also shared that Nevaeh has discovered her hands....she will stare at them for a long period of time and then put them in her mouth.  She also loves to stick out her tongue all the time!  Today she played in her jumperoo for about 15 minutes.  There is a green button that plays music when pressed.  Nevaeh tried her hardest to figure out how to make that green button play music.....she studied it for a long time before giving up!

4 1/2 MONTHS!- SCOOTING

Looks like her face is smooshed into the carpet....but she was actually in motion trying to scoot during tummy time!  She started in the middle of the mat.....you can see her bottom up in the air with her legs/knees underneath pushing and scooting herself forward......YAY she is making progress! ........Look how light her hair is getting!

4 1/2 MONTHS!

Our baby is 4 1/2 months old already!!!!  Here's a video of her sitting up and smiling on cue!  You have to look at it sideways....wasn't sure how to turn it!  But you get the idea!

4m11d- PLAYING IS HARD WORK!

Sleeping on the job AGAIN!  (Notice her right hand is still holding onto the birdie pull toy.....and yes, she has her binkie and blankie!)

4m10d-CAUGHT IN ACTION!

Nevaeh was caught on video "singing" along to the baby video.  She actually stops singing when the music is over and then watches the video intently as the words are presented.

 "Hey I might like tummy time after all!"

Yep....still smiling!

4m9d-BATHTIME!

Bath time is always a treat!  She absolutely loves to play in the tub.  These pictures aren't as clear because they are snapshots from SKYPE.....but still darn cute!  Mommy and Daddy weighed her.....she is actually 15lbs 6oz.....lost 2oz.  We think it is because she is very active now.  She still drinks her 3 cereal bottles a day plus fruit.....so nothing has changed in the food/drink intake department.

4m9d-PEACHES

This was Nevaeh's first taste of peaches. She seemed to like them and even starting opening her mouth. Mommy feeds her sitting in the bouncy chair. Daddy was taking the video from the side, so it looks like she is lying down....but she's not! :-) Grandma Baker and I got to watch her eat while on SKYPE.....we are soooooo lucky to have this type of technology. Even though we can't feel and hold her, we still get to watch her "firsts".

4m8d-BOTTLE

Nevaeh decided she wanted to hold her bottle during most of this feeding.  She grabbed the bottle and put it in her own mouth! (before she held it here and there) Our baby is growing up!  (Someone needs to tell Daddy that lime green shorts do not match a purple and pink striped shirt!! ;-).....OK so I guess in Daddy's defense, he tells me there is lime green wording on the front of the shirt! )

4m1w- SKYPE

Today, I talked to Neaveh on Skype while Daddy cooked dinner!  I am a lucky Grandma!

4m6d- SHOES

Grandma Barnett is such a good sewer!  She is going to make Nevaeh some of these shoes!!!!  How cute is that?

4m5d- DOCTOR'S VISIT

Nevaeh had her 4 month check up. Here's a picture before the shots!  LOL.  The doctor says she is very healthy.  He weighed her in at 15lbs. 8 oz.  (Mommy and Daddy's scale must weigh a little heavier!)  She is also 24" long (we measured her at 24 1/4")....You'd think he would give her the 1/4 inch....but NO!  He OK'd babyfood such as: fruits, veges and cereals.  When Daddy said she had 3 cereal bottles a day, the doctor said he wanted her to drink 4-6 cereal bottles.........hmmmmm.......don't think so!  Just look at that baby in the picture.....she certainly isn't lacking in the milk and food department and is happy.......so why force her to drink more than she wants?!  Next doctor's visit is in September for her 6 month check up!

4m4d- SITTING

I was watching Nevaeh on SKYPE tonight.  She tried to roll over but always stopped on her side.  At one time she was sitting between Mommy's legs and I took a picture!  She sure is doing a good job at practice sitting.  Just a week or so ago she was sitting in her boppy, now she can sit unassisted for a short period of time!

4m3d- LITTLE THINGS

Little things mean a lot when you are only 4 months old!  Today for the first time, Nevaeh pulled on the toy ring hanging overhead while playing on the floor mat.  The toy is a birdie with a ring in the bottom of it.  When Nevaeh pulls on it, it plays music.....I was watching her play while on SKYPE....she reached up and grabbed the ring and pulled....out poured the beautiful music and she smiled.  Quite an accomplishment!  YAY

Update....Mommy called and said that Nevaeh  started to fall asleep on the play mat...when she realized it, she would barely open her eyes, grunt and pull on toys .....and then doze again.....then repeat the eyes, grunting and pulling on toys.......this happened several times......she really fights her sleep at night.....doesn't want to miss anything!

4m2d-BANANAS

Mommy and Daddy took Nevaeh to the store to pick out a new fruit to try.  Mommy decided on bananas this time.  Nevaeh watched her put the baby food in the cart and stared at it the whole time while they were in the store.  However, on the trip home Nevaeh decided that she was not happy with Mommy and Daddy's extra errands they had to run.  She started CRYING and nothing made her happy.  When Mommy got home she opened the container and put some on her finger and gave it to Nevaeh to satisfy her and instantly she stopped crying......but started back up when Mommy wasn't ready with her bib and a spoon!!!  She would cry in between spoonfuls, but Mommy could tell she really wasn't crazy about it like she was with the apples....she kept pushing it out of her mouth with her tongue....she didn't do that with the pears and apples.  Maybe by the end of the week, she will change her mind and love bananas!  By the way, she slept through the night without her wedge in the crib.......our little baby is growing up fast!

4m2d- MOMMY AND ME!
