2.75 YEARS- A FLUKE????

Hmmmmm Today, Mommy asked Nevaeh if she wanted to watch cartoons.  Nevaeh said yes.....Mommy scrolled through the TV guide on the TV.....Nevaeh said, "Stop right there, I want to watch Sponge Bob!".....Mommy was on Sponge Bob!  ......No pictures or prompting......just words......Did she really just read those words, or was it a complete coincidence?  Hmmmmmm.........

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES.....

Mommy and Daddy's desire for more children along with fertility issues led them down the path of fostering and foster to adopt certification.......it was a long process but well worth the time....a long term placement of a preschooler and a newborn (just days old) who are siblings are making their home here! For confidentiality purposes, I can not post their pictures or say their names .....but trust me......they are precious!

Little Miss Nevaeh is adjusting well....but boy is she ever a bossy cow.....the preschooler has speech issues and calls me mamaw .....Nevaeh is quick to remind him my name is Grandma! And does so while pointing and shaking her finger at him like she is scolding him.....Haha

As for the baby.....Nevaeh is gentle and gives kisses......so far no jealously with the baby....but I bet it is a matter of time.....which is natural and expected .....last night, Daddy was taking the baby upstairs to Mommy for a night time bottle and diaper change....Nevaeh followed and asked what he was doing.....Her response was.....Be careful because he will crap on you! LOL

OOOPPPPS!

Nevaeh said her first cuss word  :-(  Wonder where she heard that from Mommy and Daddy???

Long story short, Nevaeh wanted to do downstairs, but the baby gate was locked.  She yelled for her Daddy several times, but he didn't hear her.....Mommy was in the other room when she heard Nevaeh say d-- it! Then she started to walk away.  When Mommy confronted her, she knew she was caught and even tried to deny saying it........

Funny how they learn which words are good words and which words are bad words from the get go!

COLORS OR SHADES

Tonight during bath time, Nevaeh put all like colors together with her bath toys....so we knows she sees different shades .....but for some reason she can not tell me what color the shade is! Hopefully in time, she can!

2.75 YEARS- LITTLE SMARTY

Nevaeh is VERY observant.......Today, they were driving into town and drove by the place where Mommy works......Nevaeh told everyone in the car....That's Mommy's work! ....and pointed to the place as they drove by........she did this with no prompting or slowing down in traffic......SMART LITTLE COOKIE!

DANCE CLASS

Our little dancer is fine as long as one of us is in the room with her ....If we try to sneak out, she has a meltdown.....but at least she is learning....and soooo darn cute at it!!!!

CARSEAT

Nevaeh got a big girl carseat! One for Mommy's van and one for Daddy's car! Tonight they were turning onto a familiar road to take Jordyn to Karate class and Nevaeh told them that Daddy just made a left turn on the road! .... She was correct!

This has been and emotionally draining time in Mommy and Daddy's life......which reminds all of us just what a MIRACLE little Miss Nevaeh Grace is !!!!!!

Notice that her coat is unzipped....she can not stand for the zipper to touch her neck! She even unzippers her PJs at night! Speaking of zipping, she can zip her own coat now! :-).
