2 YRS.- I LOVE THIS SMILE!

2 YRS.- GROCERY SHOPPING!

Mommy went grocery shopping and Nevaeh went along.  She had fun pushing a grocery cart just her size.  Not only did she have fun helping Mommy.....She also surprised Mommy with a few extra items when it was time to check out!  HaHa!

2 YRS- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!

Dear Nevaeh,

On April 21st.  we celebrated your Great Grandma Martin's 67th birthday.  I am 48 years old in this picture!  We are sooooo very blessed to have you!  You make us both smile daily!

2YRS.- MEMORIES

Nevaeh spent the night with us. First, we went to Aunt Caitlin and Uncle Joey's house for dinner. Nevaeh reminded Caitlin that baby Gracyn Olivia was in her belly. We went into the newly painted nursery and Nevaeh was quick to point out that there was no bed in the room for the baby to sleep on! Aunt Caitlin suggested that Nevaeh find all of her pacifiers, put them in a box and give them to the new baby as a gift.....Nevaeh paused for a little bit.....then reminded Caitlin that the baby wasn't here yet! LOL!

Mommy called to tell me something to put on the blog...Earlier in the day, before I picked Nevaeh up, Nevaeh climbed on the couch with her paci and blankie next to Mommy....Mommy said, "Can I lay in your lap?". Nevaeh said yes.....Mommy layed her head on Nevaeh's lap.....Nevaeh said, "Awe, you know you are my baby?!". Nevaeh rubbed Mommy's head, patted her cheek! TOOOO SWEET!

We did our usual nightly routine after playing....bath, brushed teeth, hair and trimmed nails...oh yea, couldn't forget about the body lotion. Nevaeh knows the routine and will remind me if I forget a step! After Jammie's were on, she played a little longer and then bed time. In the morning she watched cartoons while she ate breakfast. (We are waiting for her booster chair to come in....She is getting tooooo big for the highchair.....but never complains about sitting in it.) After breakfast today, I took her to the beauty shop with me. She was such a good girl for the entire 2 hours I was getting my hair colored, cut and styled. After the beauty shop, we stopped at the bank and she found the play area while I stood in line for help......then Grandpa and I took her home......When we left, she said....See you later alligator, after while crocodile!!!! IT WAS A FABULOUS TIME WITH HER!

2 YRS.- FUN AT ZOO!

2 YRS.- FUN AT THE ZOO's PARK!

2 YRS.- POTTY!

Guess who had a dry diaper today and asked to go potty like a big girl? YAY! Will this continue...time will tell!

2 YRS.- GREAT MEMORY!

Today, I went to pick up Nevaeh and I must have moaned toooo loudly....she said, "What's wrong grandma? Your rib still hurt?"  She then pointed and patted my rib before she hugged me.  .....Why is this "story" significant?  Three reasons:
1.  She knows where my rib is!
2. She shows empathy!
3.  I complained about my rib two weeks ago!  What a great memory!

2 YRS.- STAIRS

Nevaeh learned how to walk up and down the stairs like a big girl by holding onto the railing.  She takes one step at a time rather than alternating feet, but I think this is a huge milestone!  Such a big girl!

2 YRS. - CONVERSATION

Great Grandma Martin was in the hospital and we were Skyping. Nevaeh told grandma a big long story:

N- Hi Grandma. Where are you?
G- I am sick and in the hospital.
N- I sick too. I go to a doctor appointment for my butt. It hurts.
Me- What's wrong with your butt?
N- I don't know!

She repeated this "story" several times in various ways....dead serious.

She makes us laugh on a daily basis!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today, we all met at my cousin Diana's house for Easter.  As guests arrived she introduced some new faces....Nevaeh was observant of this.....When I arrived, she walked up to me to for introductions....She grabbed my hand and said, "This is my Daddy and this is my Mommy!"....I asked her who I was and she smiled and said, "Silly...You are my Grandma!"  HaHa!   Nevaeh told me that she met the Easter Bunny for pictures.  I asked her what she thought of the Easter Bunny?  She put her hands over her mouth and said, "I went uhhhh!"-- with a wide eyed expression.  Tooooo cute!

Both Nevaeh and Jordyn had soooo much fun hunting eggs today!  By the end of the day, poor little Miss Nevaeh conked out on the floor!

HAPPY EASTER!

2 YRS. - COLORING EGGS!

Nevaeh colored eggs with Grammy Baker!

2 YRS.- MOVIE TIME!

Grandpa and I took Jordyn and Nevaeh to see the 3D movie, Lorax.  We had soooo much fun.  First, I made sure that Nevaeh had a good nap.  She slept 3 hours!  I woke her up and fed the kids an early dinner.  At the movie we got popcorn, sprite and gummies.  Nevaeh kept telling us that she was excited.  She told me this about 167,987,900 times.  :-)  During the movie, she ate, popcorn, drank her pop, and played with her 3D glasses.  Every once in a while, I caught her watching the movie....but it was over her head.  The neat thing was.....she actually sat through the whole movie!  Pretty impressive for a 2 yr. old! After the movie Nevaeh said she was excited, once again.  When I asked her if she liked the movie, she said NO! haha!

On a cute note.....after bath time that evening, I wrapped her up in a towel like a little baby and sang Rock-a-Bye Baby to her.  At the end, I whispered....I love you dearly, Nevaeh......she responded in a whisper, "I love you dearly, too, Grandma"!  MELTED MY HEART!!!!

2YRS.- "COLORING"

Jordyn wanted to color, but I couldn't find the crayons... So pencils were the next best thing. He is so good with his little sissy. Nevaeh wanted to color, too so he shared his coloring book. Now if the roles were reversed, I'm not so sure she would have been willing to share! Something that we definitely have to work on. Especially before she reaches preschool age....In the last picture, I asked them to smile.  (haha)
